AlpineBau GmbH offered the lowest price for construction of Corridor X, Highway E80, section Pirot (East) - Dimitrovgrad

On Friday 30th July 2010 in the building of the Government a public opening of bids was held for awarding the contract for the construction of the highway E80, Section Pirot (East) - Dimitrovgrad.
Lowest price for the construction of the highway E 80, Section Pirot (East) - Dimitrovgrad, with all the discounts, offered the Austrian company AlpineBau GmbH, followed by the Slovenian ‘’Primorje ‘’d.d. and Serbian consortium comprising GP ‘’Planum’’, ‘’Putevi Uzice’’ and ‘’Preduzece za puteve Beograd’’ as third.
After the public opening, bids will be evaluated. Upon EBRD’s approval of evaluation, contract will be signed with the bidder whose bid is lowest, essentially adequate and meets the criteria of post qualification.
47 companies have bought the tender documentation, thus showing great interest to participate in this project. The bids were submitted by 18 companies.
Specific procurement notice (SPN) has been issued on May 18 th 2010, inviting bidders to submit bids until July 30th 2010 until 12 hours local time (GMT+1) for:
LOT 1: Construction of the highway, section Pirot (East) - Sukovo (total length 6km, with 18 months construction period)
Lot 2: Construction of the highway, section Sukovo - Dimitrovgrad ( total length 8.3 km, with 18 months construction period)
Source of financing: Loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). This is the first section on Corridor X financed by the EBRD.
Bidding will be conducted through ICB procedures (International Competitive Bidding), set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines ((Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (May 2004., revised October 2006)).

Commencement of work on left lane of Corridor 10 highway from Horgos to Novi Sad

Serbian Minister of Infrastructure Milutin Mrkonjic signed an agreement today on building the left lane section of Highway E-75 Corridor 10 from Horgos to Novi Sad with representatives of a consortium of local construction companies selected in a tender.
Mrkonjic said that the contract was signed with a consortium consisting of road companies Beograd, Putevi Uzice, Planum and Borovica.

Minister for the National Investment Programme (NIP) Verica Kalanovic talked today with a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about the realisation of infrastructural projects financed through NIP last year and about plans for this year.
Kalanovic said that the systems that were established for managing projects, coordination and transparency improved significantly the realisation of projects and brought savings in 2009.
IMF representatives offered full support to investments in the development of infrastructure and expressed satisfaction with the way NIP projects are being managed.
